Gary’s de-escalation training provided us with practical, age-appropriate strategies to respond calmly, confidently, and with empathy when difficuly situations arise in our nursery relating to behaviour.
The emphasis on positive relationships, communication, and understanding the emotional needs of young children was particularly impactful. Staff now feel more equipped to prevent situations from escalating and to support children through their big feelings in a safe and nurturing way.

Gary has Team Teach trained our staff at St James C of E Primary School for the past two years and we would recommend him to other schools and organisations.
We have found him to be very flexible and accommodating to the needs of a busy school and large team. Gary draws upon years of experience in supporting children and young people to make the training relatable to the team. In our experience, Gary teaches the de-escalation strategies and techniques in a way that is easily understandable and usable in our school and SEMH Nurture provision. He adapts to the needs of the school while maintaining and covering Team Teach curriculum, aims and outcomes. I have also found Gary to be a source to contact to help with identifying ongoing support for the team.
